What’s more important than nootropics?
Lots of stuff. Almost everything, to be honest.
One of the first things that come to mind is our planet. Pretty important.
For that reason, when choosing a cause for our giving program, we knew it had to be environmental.
To be honest, it wasn’t much of a contest – while we may mix it up in the future, GreenWave has always been our favorite cause.
We’d love it if you clicked through to their site and read it in their own words but here’s our summary of what they’re about:
GreenWave sets up individuals and families with a vertical aquaculture system. With a small ocean plot, a small boat, and a small personal investment, new farmers get access to hands-on training to establish an artificial reef producing edible kelp, oysters, mussels, clams, and scallops with zero inputs (no water, fertilizer, or feeds).
The system produces zero-input protein and nutrition, filters water, fixes carbon, and provides storm surge protection on a small floating footprint.
Nothing is perfect but the win-win-win in GreenWave’s approach is scalable, inexpensive, and restorative. We also like that it’s local to us here in New England.
